SOHO ANGELS AND NIGHT HUB EVALUATION

MAKE has been evaluating the Soho Angels ‘safe space’ project led by Westminster City Council and the LGBT Foundation. It is the most comprehensive project of its kind in the UK. Over the past year the scheme has helped over a thousand people, from those who have had too much to drink and those who have been assaulted or robbed, as well as those who are lost and vulnerable in London’s most iconic nightlife hotspot.

We are currently bringing together our findings by working with the all-important 70+ Soho Angels and lead partners WCC and LBT Foundation, as well as the London Ambulance Service, Metropolitan Police, NHS, St John’s Ambulance and night life venues.

Having had a busy summer - with Pride in London proving its busiest day (and possibly the busiest night for any UK safe space yet), the scheme has exciting plans for expansion into other parts of the West End. Watch this space!
